The Lens of Ed Gilliland
September 7 through December 16

Opening Reception, Thursday, September 21, 5:00-7:30 pm
Lecture by the Artist, Thursday, September 21, 4 pm

This exhibition highlights the work of Kalispell photographer Ed Gilliland, an award winning landscape photographer who has had a camera as a constant companion for over thirty years. The bulk of his work is from Northwest Montana but he has also photographed in Arizona, Utah, California, and other western states.  Over the years, Gilliland has done both black & white and color photographs, but he is best known for his beautifully composed color prints of Glacier National Park, Montana.

The purpose of his photography has always been to capture nature’s beauty on film for preservation and enjoyment. His strong sharp foregrounds give you the illusion of being able to walk into the picture and become part of the scenery.
