Jeanne Hamilton was a well-known and much-loved Flathead artist who lived, painted, and taught in the Kalispell area for more than 40 years.

Her legacy lives on in the memory of the many students she taught at Flathead Valley Community College, the Hockaday Center for the Arts, and in her home studio. Upon her death the Hockaday was the recipient of her extensive art library of approximately 1,300 volumes.
After almost a year of cleaning, conserving, and cataloguing, the Jeanne Hamilton Memorial Library has a new home, a room all to itself, just off the West Gallery of the museum.
Currently, there are almost 2,800 volumes, plus magazines and videos catalogued in the library, including a large number of recent additions through the generous donations of several friends of the Hockaday. Members can use the library during regular museum hours.
Sorry, but "Check-outs" are not available from this reference library.
